Meet our Founder & Board President, Jesse Coontz

Hi, I’m Jesse, a Mom of three, Moms On Target Founder, Executive Director, and Board President. Phew, that’s a lot of titles. Let’s add Mommy Chef Extraordinaire, Homeschooler, Breastfeeding Mama, Wife, and Gentle Parenting Advocate to the mix, too!

Moms On Target really started when I became a mom myself for the first time. Growing up in a home plagued by poverty, neglect, abuse, and addiction, I had serious doubts about how I would manage motherhood.

I was SO blessed to have women who took me under their wings to show me the ropes. They invited me into their homes, taught me, poured into me, discipled me, and prayed for me.

I grew very determined to create a space for that to multiply and reach others. My heart and vision for this nonprofit have grown and evolved throughout the years and I’m in awe and amazed at all the ways God has shown up and continues to show up for me, my family, and for this organization.

My heart truly lies with moms from all walks of life, but I’m especially passionate about mentoring other moms who are working to break generational cycles of their own. I love to share my heart for Jesus and my belief that knowing and following Him makes taking aim as a mother not only easier but more joy-filled, too.

Jesse and her husband, Paul, are proud Akronites and parents to Abel, Hannah, and Haven. Jesse loves coffee, bookstores, orcas, and donuts.

Admittedly, she doesn’t get a lot of alone time, but when she does, she spends it snuggled up with a good book, watching reruns of old tv shows, or filling her Amazon cart with things she won't actually buy. *Save for later* on repeat.

Meet Our Other Board Members

  • Annie Thomas

I am passionate about being on the board of Moms On Target because I believe moms need opportunities for connection, support and encouragement, and I believe that there is so much that can be learned from the shared experience of motherhood. My journey to motherhood was difficult and full of a lot of loss; I struggled with infertility and pregnancy loss before my daughter was born. I know that can feel isolating and I want anyone going through that to know they are not alone. My daughter was diagnosed with autism at age 3 and having other moms around me who support and understand her unique way of seeing the world has been a huge help to me- I would love to be the same support for others!

I work full time and I am the mom of a child with special needs, so a lot of my free time is spent advocating for her and navigating the process to make sure her needs are met.

Fun fact: I love history! I could spend hours watching the history channel or going down Wikipedia rabbit holes about European royal families. I love reading biographies and memoirs- I just think there are so many great stories of real people!

  • Rachelle Grandison

My name is Rachelle Grandison and I’m from North Canton. I'm passionate about being on the board of Moms On Target because being a single mom can oftentimes be lonely and I want to help Moms On Target become something for all types of moms to feel included and valued without judgment no matter what their role as a mom looks like.

Fun fact: my family and I began making homemade wine after my grandfather passed a couple of years ago to carry on a tradition he started!

  • Tara Seeman

My name is Tara Seeman. I love all things Irish -except the alcohol! Gave that up in 2019. What can I say? We are REAL here! I remarried in 2020 to a world-champion Irish dancer! I live in New Franklin, Ohio with my husband and our five children. I am passionate about serving on the board for Moms on Target because the mission and vision are something that I can firmly stand behind 100%. We all are guilty of muttering words about raising children in “today’s world” with a negative connotation on the phrase. Partnering with Moms on Target gives me the opportunity to feel that I’m taking part in changing “today’s world”, giving it the positive connotation it deserves. Through this organization, moms have an opportunity to learn, grow, and just BE in a nonjudgmental and encouraging environment. I am so excited to continue to see God move in this area!

Fun fact: Watching Irish dance and listening to Irish music are two of my favorite things to do.

  • Nicole Willard

My name is Nicole Willar and I’m from Uniontown, OH. I’m passionate about MOT because of its mission to help ALL moms in this journey of motherhood. It truly takes a village to raise little, and bigs, and I love that we can be that safe space for these women and their children as we all navigate through the hardships, trials, and celebrations, together.

Fun Fact: I am a High School Varsity Cheer Coach at my Alma Mater.

  • Tiffany Lewis

My name is Tiffany Lewis. I’m a mom, wife, marketer, corporate rebel times two, and coffee lover of all kinds. I currently live in Stow with my husband and our two children, Mallory & Matthew, coined “The M&Ms”. I’m passionate about being on the board of Moms On Target because I truly believe that most moms are trying to do their best work, but the truth is, this work can be challenging, gray, and full of gut-wrenching moments that can be solved by being a part of an authentic community of other moms who want to be their best during this season, too! I believe our children get the fruits of our efforts when we’re seen and felt deeply by those who can love us well. Moms On Target does that by serving moms and meeting them where they are in truly meaningful ways.

Fun fact: I got mom jokes for days. I guess whether or not that’s a ‘fun fact’ depends on who you ask.
